Privacy Policy for Potato Stuff: Tasks made Easy.

Potato Stuff ("we", "our", "the app") is developed by the mid. ecosystem. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. We do not have access to your plaintext password.

Task Data

The app stores the tasks you create, including task titles, notes/details, reminder times, deadlines, and categories you assign. This data is stored in our database and is only accessible to your authenticated account.

Device Information

To deliver notifications, the app uses your device's notification permissions and may store a device token locally for scheduling reminders. We do not collect device identifiers beyond what is necessary for this functionality.

We do NOT collect: location data, contacts, camera/microphone data, browsing history, or any data unrelated to the app's core task-management function.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to:

  • Authenticate your account and sync your tasks across sessions
  • Schedule and deliver local notifications for your reminders
  • Provide customer support if you contact us

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase (supabase.com) as our backend infrastructure provider for authentication and data storage. Supabase's own privacy policy governs how they process data on our behalf: https://supabase.com/privacy

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in this app.

4. Data Retention

Your task data is retained as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account (via Settings > Delete Account in the app), your task data and account information are permanently deleted from our systems within 10 days.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data associated with your account
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time via the in-app account deletion feature
  • Contact us with questions or requests regarding your data

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and Row Level Security policies that ensure only you can access your own task data. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA), and we do not knowingly collect data from children in these age groups.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
